Advanced sports industry: the experiential zone

An experiential zone will illustrate the industry's contribution to sport, with a host of real and virtual activities including :

  • Two laser biathlon shooting lines (Athletic 3D) 
  • Two fixed wheelchairs with wheel manipulation during a race (EDF) 
  • A Smartboard to test your climbing skills (Carnot Institutes) 
  • An upper limb exoskeleton for rehabilitation (Able Human Motion) 
  • Connected taekwondo breastplates to analyse punching power (Carnot Institutes) 
  • Racing wheelchair combined with a connected glove to measure starting force (Carnot Institutes) 
  • Virtual reality helmet for sports experiences (Carnot Institutes)

Science & Sport pitches zone

Set up with the Carnot Network, this area of mini-conferences (10 to 20 minutes) will present research topics of interest and innovation in the field of science and sport: improving performance; sports equipment (protection, ergonomics, optimisation); rehabilitation and injury prevention; environmental studies and adaptation, etc. On this occasion, the industrial audience will be able to meet and discuss with them.

INSEP speed datings

The “Institut National du Sport, de l'Expertise et de la Performance (INSEP)” is committed to research and innovation in the field of sport, and is always on the lookout for industrial solutions that can be adapted to sport. During the speed datings organised at GLOBAL INDUSTRIE, manufacturers will be able to present their innovations and work with INSEP members to identify opportunities for their deployment.

A wide range of sectors are involved: robotics, technical textiles, materials finishing and treatment, plastics, rubber and composites, sheet metal work, welding, metal shaping, sensors, additive manufacturing, connected equipment, data and smart (digitalisation, automation, mechatronics), measurement, control, vision, instrumentation, etc. Speed datings will be held on Tuesday 26 March (afternoon), Wednesday 27 March (afternoon) and Thursday 28 March (all day).
