A digital tutoring approach in industry

On Global Industrie 2024, Romain Etay co- founder of Klara, an innovative digital platform dedicated to training and skills development for employees in the industrial sector.

‘Our mission is to make every employee a player in their own development’, explains Romain Etay, co-founder of Klara. This employee-centred approach aims to unleash employees' potential by giving them clear visibility of their training path. Klara offers a milestone-based tutoring system, where a learner is accompanied by a knowledgeable person and a manager, enabling rapid and effective skills development.

Traceability and skills enhancement

Digitalising tutoring follow-up meets a number of crucial challenges. On the one hand, it makes it possible to track training hours, which are often invisible and not valued in companies' traditional tools.Secondly, it identifies and enhances the value of those who know, the key people capable of passing on their skills. This is essential, particularly in critical sectors such as aviation, where compliance and safety are paramount.

Klara stands out for its operational approach, which reconciles production and training issues. The on-the-job training method (AFEST) enables employees to learn while producing, thereby increasing their efficiency. The results are impressive: on average, the number of tutoring sessions is reduced by 30%, and the people who know what they're doing are more productive because they're less called upon to pass on their skills.
